WE PUBLICLY ADVERTISED FOR BID TO DEMOLISH THE SINGLE FELLOW FAMILY DWELLING OF THIS PROPERTY THAT WAS ACQUIRED IN DECEMBER THROUGH THE FEMA BUYOUT PROCESS.

UH, WE RECEIVED A TOTAL OF SIX BIDS, THE LOWEST BEING JAMES R KENNY EXCAVATING AND PAVING FOR $75,465.

UM, ALTHOUGH THE, THIS PROJECT IS SIMILAR TO THE ONE THAT WE AWARDED LAST MONTH FOR 22 HOMES, UM, THIS PROPERTY'S A LITTLE BIT UNIQUE IN THE TERMS OF ITS CONSTRUCTION, IT'S PROXIMITY TO THE CREEK, UH, DEP PERMITS THAT ARE REQUIRED FOR SOME WORK THAT HAS TO HAPPEN IN THE CREEK TO REMOVE SOME CONCRETE.

SO WE BID IT SEPARATELY FROM ALL THE OTHERS, UM, JUST TO GET A CLEAN CLEANER BID.

UH, AND, UM, WE HAVE A LETTER FROM GILMORE ASSOCIATES RECOMMENDING A AWARD TO JIM KENNY FOR THAT AMOUNT, AND THEN WE'LL OWN THE PROPERTY.

WE DON'T, WE DO OWN IT ALREADY.

THAT'S RIGHT.

WE ACQUIRED IT IN DECEMBER.

SO, SO THEY ARE GONNA TAKE THAT CONCRETE PIER OUT OF THE CREEK THAT STICKS OUT THE BACK THERE AND MOST OF THE CONCRETE COMES OUT AND, UH, IS REPLACED WITH RIP WRAP ALONG THE CREEK.

WE'VE KICKED AROUND SOME IDEAS THAT THE STAFF LEVEL, I KNOW THE PERM AND WATERSHED HAS BEEN INTERESTED FOR A DECADE OR MORE, UM, IN CREATING A PORTAGE WHERE KAYAKERS AND CANOERS WOULD LIKE TO TAKE THEIR KAYAK OUT OF THE CREEK, UM, AND THEN WALK DOWN LOWER INDIAN HEAD ROAD TO BELOW THE DAM THAT'S THERE AND THEN GET BACK IN THE CREEK.

SO I THINK THAT'S THE POSSIBLE THING THAT WE SHOULD,

WHAT, WHAT IS PRESENTLY ON ROAD PORTION OF THE TRAIL, UM, ON AUDUBON LAND OWNS PROPERTY THAT PARALLELS UP IAN HEAD ROAD TO GET THE TRAIL AND THE WALKER'S BICYCLIST OFF THE ROAD ITSELF AND ONTO INTO A FORMALIZED TRAIL SEGMENT.

YEAH.

WE'RE NOT AT THE POINT OF GIVING THEM OPERATION HEAD ROAD OR VACATING THAT PROPERTY AT ALL AT THIS POINT.

THAT IS STILL THEIR, THEIR PREFERENCE, BUT WE ARE NOT AT THAT POINT.

AND I DID RECEIVE AN EMAIL THIS AFTERNOON.
