WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE US TO DO? I WOULD LIKE THE TOWNSHIP TO STEP UP FOR PEOPLE THAT PAY THEIR TAXES AND PAY THEIR PROPERTY TAXES AND MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE ENGAGES.

I'M SORRY, WHAT DOES STEP UP MEAN? WHAT ACTION WOULD YOU LIKE TO SAY? OH, UM, LIKE YOU COULD STEP UP AND MAYBE EXPLAIN THE $2.3 MILLION THAT YOU GUYS APPROVED FROM MAY 12TH TO JUNE 14TH.

AND THAT MONEY COULD HAVE BEEN SPREAD TO HELP PEOPLE THAT ARE ACTUALLY TAXPAYING, HARDWORKING CITIZENS THAT GOT SOMETHING DESTROYED, EVERYTHING THEY LOST GIVES ME MA'AM I BELIEVE THAT MONEY YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT IS THE BILL LIST.

WE PAY THAT MONTHLY.

THOSE ARE THE BILLS THAT THE TOWNSHIP POSE TO OUR CONTRACTORS.

BUT YOU'RE, I MEAN, YOU'RE JUST OBVIOUSLY NOT GOING TO SEE ON THE SAME PAGE.

UM, I KNOW MR. JAEGER, I KNOW THAT HE IS NEWEST AND I KNOW, WELL, I I'M GOING TO BE, I'M GOING TO BE, YOU'VE HAD MORE THAN THREE MINUTES, SO I'M GOING TO RESPOND TO YOU NOW.

THAT WAS A NATURAL EVENT AND WE DO NOT CONTROL THE RAINFALL.

AND AS I TOLD YOU, LAST MONTH, WE HAD ABOUT SEVEN TO EIGHT INCHES OF RAIN IN AUGUST OF THAT YEAR.

AND THEN WE HAD 12 INCHES OF RAIN AT, AT A, AT A MINIMUM OVER

12 HOURS.

OKAY.

AND THAT, AND THAT AMOUNT OF RAIN WILL CAUSE FLOODING UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.

IT ACTUALLY WAS THE HIGHEST FLOODS.

SINCE THAT AREA'S PROBABLY BEEN OCCUPIED, UH, BACK IN THE 1970S, HURRICANE AGNES CAME THROUGH THIS FLOOD CREST AT THREE FEET HIGHER THAN AGNES.

THAT IT'S WHAT IS CALLED A 500 YEAR FLOOD.

NOW, I DON'T KNOW THAT THOSE NUMBERS MEAN ANYTHING ANYMORE, BUT THAT'S HOW IT WAS CATEGORIZED CATEGORIZED.

AND I BELIEVE THAT AS, AS WE GET INCREASED RAINFALL BECAUSE OF CLIMATE CHANGE, IT'S ONLY GOING TO BECOME MORE DANGEROUS TO LIVE IN THE FLOOD PLAIN AREA OF MONTCLAIR AND POOR PROVENANCE.

AND THAT'S ONE OF THE REASONS WHY FEMA IS SO ANXIOUS TO BUY OUT EVERYONE DOWN THERE AND GET PEOPLE OUT OF THE FLOOD ZONE SO THAT THEY CAN LIVE SAFELY.

AND IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ANY OF THE BUILDINGS THAT WERE BUILT BEHIND.

A LOT OF PEOPLE IMPORT THAT SAID THE WATER WAS COMING FROM BEHIND THE HOUSES TOO, BECAUSE OF THE BIG WAREHOUSE AND STUFF THAT YOU GUYS JUST PUT UP.

I'M NOT AWARE OF ANY CIRCUMSTANCES OTHER THAN THE RAINFALL ITSELF.

YES.

I MEAN, THERE ARE HYDROLOGY STUDIES IN EVERY TIME WE PUT IT DOWN, PERVIOUS PAVEMENT THAT CAUSES MORE RUNOFF, BUT WE DO HYDROLOGY STUDIES ON EVERY DEVELOPMENT PROJECT NOW.

AND WE TRY TO NEUTRALIZE THE EFFECT OF THAT AS BEST WE CAN, BUT YOU'RE RIGHT.

FOR MANY, MANY DECADES, THINGS WERE DEVELOPED AND THOSE KIND OF STUDIES WEREN'T DONE.

I'M SURE THAT WHEN THEY BUILT THE HIGHWAY OUT HERE FOR 22, NO ONE TOOK INTO ACCOUNT WHERE ALL THE ADDITIONAL RUNOFF WAS GOING TO GO.

SO THE SCHUYLKILL RIVER IS THE BOTTOM OF THE BASIN, AND THAT IS WHERE ALL THE WATER WILL EVENTUALLY GO.

KRISTEN, YOU KNOW, IF I MIGHT CALL ON SOMEBODY ELSE TO EXPLAIN, YOU KNOW, YOU WERE CONCERNED ABOUT WHAT THE TOWNSHIP IS DOING ARE FAR MARSHALL.

UM, UM, I MEAN I FAR FAR OUR CHIEF WOULD, UH, MIKE, IF YOU WOULD, UH, EXPLAIN, UH, WHAT, WHAT YOU'VE BEEN, WHAT THE TOWNSHIP HAS BEEN DOING SINCE THE FLOOD.

SO SINCE THE FLOOD, THE, THE FLOOD GAUGES WE'RE OVERWHELMED AT THE TIME, WE'VE, RE-ENGINEERED HOW THEY WERE AND WE'VE REMOUNTED THEM.

WE HAD A COMPANY COME IN THAT THEY REPLACED ON BOTH THE ROUTE 29 BRIDGE AND THE ARCOLA ROAD BRIDGE ON BOTH THE PERKIOMEN AND THE SCHOOL.

BOTH OF THEM ARE WORKING.

BOTH OF THEM WERE WORKING QUITE WELL.

UM, THEY, RIGHT NOW, THEY READ AT SEA LEVEL AND WE'RE IN THE PROCESS OF READING THEM, UH, CHANGING OUT THE FEET, UH, WHICH WILL MAKE IT ACTUALLY EASIER TO READ.

IF YOU GO ONTO THE WEBSITE, IT SHOWS NOT ONLY OUR SITES, BUT ALSO SHOWS, UH, TWO, TWO ADDITIONAL GAUGES THAT ARE ON THE SCHOOL AND TWO ADDITIONAL GAUGES THAT ARE ON THE PERKIOMEN.

SO IT KIND OF GIVES YOU AN IDEA IF YOU'RE LOOKING UP RIVER WHERE THE, WHERE THE WATER LEVELS ARE GOING.

UM, WE'VE ALSO DEVELOPED, UH, THROUGH THE READY MAKO SYSTEM.

WE PUT OUT NOTIFICATIONS TO ALL, REALLY ANYBODY IN THE UPPER PROVIDENCE, BUT IT'S JUST SPECIFICALLY TO THE POOR PROVIDENCE IN MONTCLAIR AREA.

THERE'S A SECTION IN THERE THAT YOU CAN REGISTER, UH, THAT WE WILL THEN GIVE YOU NOTIFICATION THROUGH PHONE OR EMAIL OR TEXT IF THE FLOODS, UH, THE WATER'S COMING UP AND IT'S GOING TO BE FLOODING.

SO WE'LL GIVE YOU THAT NOTIFICATION, THAT THAT DISASTER IS OCCURRING.

AS WE GET THE INFORMATION FROM THE DIFFERENT SOURCES THAT WE GET, THAT WE ARE, WE GET THAT INFORMATION FROM, UH, THERE'S ONLY BEEN 27 PEOPLE IN THE MONTCLAIR POOR PREVALENCE AREA THAT HAVE REGISTERED ON READY MONACO.

BUT WE WENT TO EVERY SINGLE HOUSE DOWN THERE, GAVE THEM PAPERS.

WHEN WE DID THE SMOKE ALARM BLITZ, WE WERE DOWN THERE WITH THAT.

UH, IN ADDITION, WE'VE, UH, DEVELOPED A PHONE LIST FOR JUST ABOUT EVERYBODY THAT'S DOWN THERE.

SO WE HAVE THE ABILITY TO CALL AND TELL PEOPLE THAT IT'S STARTING TO FLOOD.

DO THEY NEED HELP? DO THEY WANT TO BE RESCUED THAT HE NEEDED TO GET OUT OF THERE? SO WE'RE LOOKING TO DO EVERYTHING THAT WE CAN TO HELP.

UH, WE CAN'T MITIGATE THE FLOOD, BUT TO, TO PUT OURSELVES IN A POSITION WHERE WE CAN HELP THE RESIDENTS DOWN THERE AT RECOGNIZE THAT THE FLOODING IS GOING TO OCCUR AND GIVE THEM THE CHOICES AND THE OPTIONS THAT IT'S TIME TO LEAVE OR A TIME TO EVACUATE.

HONESTLY, DURING IDA, WE DID THAT, UH, SEVERAL TIMES, UH, WE WENT THROUGH AND ASKED PEOPLE TO EVACUATE, UM, FOR THE HOUSES THAT WE COULD GET TO.

AND THERE WAS RESIDENTS THAT STAYED AND THERE WAS RESIDENTS THAT STAYED WHEN WE WENT BACK AGAIN.

AND THEN FINALLY ON THE THIRD TIME WE HAD WENT BACK AND ACTUALLY TOOK THEM OUT BY BOAT.

NOT EVERY SINGLE ONE.

THERE WERE PEOPLE THAT LEFT.

THERE WERE PEOPLE THAT, THAT HE DID THE WARNING ORIGINALLY.

AND THERE WERE PEOPLE THAT, UH, WE WERE NOT ABLE TO GET IN TOUCH WITH.

QUITE FRANKLY, IT'S OVERWHELMING.

IT WASN'T JUST US, THE ENTIRE, UH, SOUTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA, THE WHOLE, WHAT YOUR AREA WAS BEING INUNDATED WITH FLOODING.

SO WE WERE DOING EVERYTHING THAT WE COULD, BUT OUR BOATS CAME FROM WARETOWN AND POTTSTOWN BECAUSE EVERYBODY HERE WAS ALREADY TAXED.

SO, UM, WHEN, WHEN THE, WHEN THE RIVERS ARE GOING TO FLOOD, WE'RE GOING TO DO OUR BEST TO GET THE WORD OUT.

THIS IS OCCURRING.

AND THEN IT'S GOING TO BE ON THE INDIVIDUALS THAT LIVE IN THE HOUSES TO, TO, TO, TO HEAT OUR WARNINGS AND TO LEAVE.

WE CAN'T STOP THE WATER, BUT WE CAN DO OUR BEST TO TRY AND GET THE PEOPLE OUT OF IT.

UM, THE PROPOSAL IS, UM, FOR A CLUSTER OPTION, SINGLE FAMILY, DETACHED DWELLINGS CONSISTING OF 54, UH, LOTS, UH, THERE ARE THREE ACCESS POINTS TO WRITTEN HOUSE ROAD.

UM, THE, ON THE NORTH, WHAT I'LL CALL THE NORTH SIDE OF RITTENHOUSE ROAD, ALTHOUGH IT CURVES, THERE ARE 16 LOTS ON THE PORTION OF THE PROPERTY CLOSEST TO VALLEY VIEW DRIVE.

THERE ARE 15 LOTS ON THE, UH, SECOND ACCESS POINT AND SEE THERE, WHICH FORMS AN INTERSECTION WITH RITTENHOUSE ROAD.

UM, AND WE HAVE ALSO BEEN TO YOUR PLANNING COMMISSION WHO MADE A UNANIMOUS RECOMMENDATION OF APPROVAL ON JUNE 1ST, 2022.

UM, THERE ARE A COUPLE OF THINGS THAT I THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE WORTH POINTING OUT TO THE BOARD.

UH, ONE OF WHICH IS NOT SHOWN ON THE PLAN, BUT THE REST OF WHICH ARE, UM, I THOUGHT YOU MIGHT BE INTERESTED IN HEARING MORE ABOUT THE TRAIL SYSTEM AND THE SIDEWALK, UM, SYSTEM THROUGH THE DEVELOPMENT.

IT WOULD ADD A RIGHT TURN LANE AT THE INTERSECTION WITH SOUTH TOWNSHIP LINE ROAD.

UM, THE REST OF THE IMPROVEMENTS THAT WE'RE PROPOSING ARE ON OUR PRODUCT.

UM, SO GOING BACK TO THE SITE PLAN, AS I MENTIONED, THERE ARE 16 DWELLING UNITS UP HERE, 15 ON THE SIDE, 23 ON THE SOUTH SIDE, I'M STARTING AT VALLEY VIEW DRIVE OUT OF THE CUL-DE-SAC FALL.

THIS YEAR, THERE IS A CONNECTION THAT GOES TO VALLEY VIEW DRIVE THERE'S EXISTING, UH, THERE'S EXISTING WALKING OPTIONS ON VALLEY VIEW DRIVE.

AND THEN WHAT WE'RE PROPOSING TO DO IS TIE IN THE TRAIL ALONG THE FRONTAGE OF RITTENHOUSE ROAD, UM, THAT WOULD COME DOWN ACROSS OUR SITE.

UM, IF EVERYONE RECALLS THAT WHEN WE WERE HERE AT TENTATIVE SKETCH PLAN, THERE WAS A LOT OF CONVERSATION.

AND WE HAD CONVERSATION WITH THE PLANNING COMMISSION ABOUT MAKING SURE THAT WE MADE A CONNECTION ALONG THE FRONTAGE OF THE SITE TO TIE THESE TWO PORTIONS OF THE CUL-DE-SAC TOGETHER.

SO WE ARE PROPOSING A TRAIL THAT RUNS ALONG THE FRONTAGE OF THE SITE.

IT GOES, AND IT WILL CONNECT TO THE SECOND CUL-DE-SAC BALL.

UH, AT THAT LOCATION, THERE ARE SIDEWALKS SHOWN CURRENTLY AT ONE SIDE OF THE STREET.

UM, THAT SIDEWALK WOULD THEN CONNECT BACK TO THIS PIECE OF PROPERTY, WHICH IS ON THE NORTH SIDE, WHICH IS OWNED BY THE TOWNSHIP AND A TOW WOULD BE DOING ADDITIONAL TRAIL CONNECTIONS IN THAT SITE.

UM, HESS ROAD IS SORT OF OVER HERE.

UM, ESSENTIALLY WB IS DOING A PROJECT AND THE IDEA IS THAT THE TOLL BROTHER TRAIL SYSTEM WILL CONNECT INTO WHAT, UM, WB WOULD BE BUILDING ON THAT, ON THAT SIDE.

UM, AND THEN COMING BACK DOWN TO THE MAIN INTERSECTION WITH WRITTEN HOUSE ROAD AND, UH, THE PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT, THE TRAIL WOULD ALSO LOOP AROUND HERE AND CREATE AN ADDITIONAL CONNECTION THROUGH THE SITE AND UP TO THE NEW TRAILS WITHIN THE TOWNSHIP OPEN SPACE.

UM, AT THE MAIN INTERSECTION, THERE IS A PROPOSED WITHOUT A PEDESTRIAN REFUGE ISLAND, A PROPOSED CROSSWALK THAT WOULD GO ACROSS RITTENHOUSE ROAD AND THERE WOULD ALSO BE A RAPID FLASHING BEACON PROPOSED AT THIS LOCATION TO WARN MOTORISTS THAT THERE IS A PEDESTRIAN CONNECTION HERE.

UM, THEN ON THE SOUTH SIDE, WE ARE CURRENTLY PROPOSING THE SIDEWALK ON ONE SIDE AND STREET HERE, BECAUSE THIS IS AN UNLOADED PORTION OF THE PROPERTY.

THIS IS ALSO CONSTRAINED, WHICH IS WHY THERE IS A SINGLE ACCESS FOR POSTS ON THE SIDE.

UM, THERE WOULD BE ADDITIONAL TRAIL CONNECTIONS WITHIN, AGAIN, THIS IS A PIECE OF TOWNSHIP OPEN SPACE, UM, TO CONNECT WITH THE, UH, THAT WOULD CONNECT ALL THE WAY DOWN TO SOUTH LEWIS ROAD.

IT IS CUT OFF ON THIS PLAN.

ONE OF THE COMMENTS WE GOT IN THERE, A FEW LETTERS IS THAT WHEN WE DO OUR PLAN REVISION, THAT WE MAKE SURE WE SHOW, UM, THAT FULL BUILD OUT ALL THE WAY DOWN TO SOUTHWEST ROAD, WHICH IS WHAT IS INTENDED.

UH, THIS ALSO WOULD SERVE AS AN EMERGENCY ACCESS FOR THIS SIDE OF THE DEVELOPMENT, UM, TO SOUTH LEWIS ROAD, IT WOULD CONNECT UP WITH THIS CUL-DE-SAC BULB AGAIN, RIGHT NOW, THIS PLAN SHOWS SIDEWALKS ON ONE SIDE OF THE INTERNAL STREETS DOWN HERE, THE SIDEWALK WOULD, THERE'S ONLY A LITTLE PIECE OF OUR FRONTAGE ON THIS SIDE OF THE INTERSECTION, BUT THE SIDEWALK WOULD BE BUILT THERE TO THE PROPERTY LINE ON THE WEST SIDE, THERE'S ALREADY AN EXISTING TRAIL ALONG THE FRONTAGE.

SO NO ADDITIONAL IMPROVEMENTS ARE PROPOSED THERE OTHER THAN MAKING SURE THAT, THAT, YOU KNOW, CONNECTION WORKS, BUT, UH, THIS TRAIL EXISTS IN THIS AREA TODAY.

UM, SO WE, WE DO BELIEVE THAT WE ARE ABLE TO PROVIDE A FULL CIRCULATION AND NETWORK THROUGHOUT THE SITE, AND THEN ALSO TO CONNECT TO THE TWO TOWNSHIP PIECES AND BUILD ADDITIONAL TRAILS AS WELL.

WHAT IS, HOW IS ONE GOING TO GET ACROSS RITTENHOUSE ROAD FROM ONE PIECE TO THE SURE.

SO RIGHT AT, RIGHT AT THIS LOCATION, THERE IS A MID-BLOCK CROSSING THAT IS SHOWN AND THERE'S A PEDESTRIAN ISLANDS.

SO WHEN YOU'RE THERE, YOU CAN ACTUALLY STOP IN THE MIDDLE FOR SAFETY, IF YOU NEED TO, UM, THERE WILL ALSO BE A RAPID FLASHING BEACON.

SO THAT'S WHAT I WOULD HAVE.

UH, SO 12 INCIDENTS SINCE 2018 IS THOSE CIRCUMSTANCES.

SO WHAT THAT, I HEAR THAT THE PROPERTY MARKET'S PROBABLY GOING TO RULE.

AND THE, I THINK WE TRACKED ABOUT $300,000 LESS THAT BROUGHT IN ABOUT 10.5, 2020.

SO I THINK WHAT THAT MEANT IS A LOT OF THE RESIDENTS OUT OF THE PEOPLE WHO HAD JOBS WERE BASED WORKING VIRTUALLY, IT WASN'T REALLY A LOSS MAJOR LOSS.

THEY'RE LOOKING AT 20, 21 OR 2021.

UM, WE ENDED 2021, THE UNAUDITED NUMBER, UH, OF ABOUT $12.1 BILLION.

AND I'M LOOKING AT 2022, NEXT SLIDE AS OF 2022, WE'RE COMING IN AROUND, UH, ABOUT SEVEN AND A HALF MILLION DOLLARS AS OF JUNE 30TH.

A LOT OF TIMES CAPITAL EXPENDITURES ARE MADE AT THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR, WHICH YOU WOULD A LITTLE BIT FROM THE 50%.

UH, RECREATION IS THE ONE THAT'S TYPICALLY BELOW 50% AT THIS TIME OF THE YEAR.

AND USUALLY THEIR PROGRAMS, UH, HAPPENED IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE YEAR.

THE GENERATOR PUMP CONTROL BUILDING IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION.

AND THE ELECTRICAL WORK FOR THAT HAS STARTED THE GRAVITY, GRAVITY, SANITARY, SEWER MAIN AND LATERALS ARE COMPLETE AND INSTALLED IN THE MARSHAL WOULD DEVELOPMENT AND ALONG OLD STATE ROAD, FINAL PAVING AND PAVEMENT MARKINGS HAVE BEEN INSTALLED IN THE MARSHA DEVELOPMENT AND ON OLD STATE ROAD, THE GRAVITY SEWER MAIN AND LATERALS ARE COMPLETE IN THE ROSEMONT DEVELOPMENT CONTRACTORS DOING CONCRETE WORK, WHICH INCLUDES REPLACING THE CURB SIDEWALK AND ADA RAMPS IN THE ROSEMONT DEVELOPMENT CONTRACTORS, INSTALLING SANITARY, SEWER, GRAVITY, MAIN AND FRUIT FARM ROAD.

THE INSTALLATION HERE IS SLOWER DUE TO THE DEPTH OF THE SANITARY SEWER MAIN AND THE LARGE AMOUNT OF ROCK THAT'S BEING ENCOUNTERED.

THERE'S APPROXIMATELY 2000 LINEAR FEET OF SEWER MAIN THAT REMAINS TO BE INSTALLED IN FRUIT FARM.

ONCE THE MAIN IS FINISHED, THE CONTRACTOR WILL START TO INSTALL THE SANITARY SEWER LATERALS TO EACH EXISTING HOME LOCATED ALONG FRUIT FARM ROAD.

THE CONTRACTOR ANTICIPATES COMPLETING THE SANITARY MAIN INSTALLATION IN LATE AUGUST, EARLY SEPTEMBER.

ONCE AGAIN, DUE TO THE ROCK BEING ENCOUNTERED, IT IS THE ROCK SO BAD THAT THEY'RE HAVING TO BLAST, OR THEY JUST HAVING TO JUST REALLY BOUND IT TOGETHER RIGHT NOW.

IT'S JUST TIME-CONSUMING.

US TO JUST RECOGNIZE THAT AS A TOWNSHIP AND, AND BE ABLE TO, UH, YOU KNOW, COMMUNICATE, I KNOW YOU'VE DONE SOME TREMENDOUS THINGS WITH THE, WITH THE GAUGES.

I THINK THAT'S REALLY IMPORTANT TO MAINTAIN THAT.

AND IT'S A TERRIFIC JOB.

I THINK LONG-TERM, I ALSO HEAR THERE'S GOING TO BE A LET'S STEP BACK AND SEE WHAT WENT WELL AND WHAT DIDN'T GO WELL, AND I THINK WE SHOULD BE TRANSPARENT ABOUT THAT AS WELL.

SO THERE'S, SHORT-TERM THINGS THAT WERE PHENOMENAL ARE OUR EMERGENCY SERVICES NOMINAL AND BILL YOU'RE RIGHT.

NOBODY LOST THEIR LIFE TO MY KNOWLEDGE.

AND THAT'S HUGE MIDTERM.

WE'VE DONE THE RIGHT CORRECTIONS TO MAKE SURE WE CAN WARN THE PEOPLE.

LONG-TERM WHAT ARE THE THINGS WE'RE DOING? I THINK THAT'S KIND OF WHAT'S SO THAT'S MY COMMENT.

UM, YOU KNOW, I THINK, UH, WE HAVE A VERY, UH, UH, LARGE COMMUNITY AND PEOPLE WHO ARE AFFECTED ALL OVER THE PLACE AND, AND THOSE FOLKS ARE STILL FEELING THE PAIN OF WHAT HAPPENED.

YEAH.

THAT'S WHAT I'M GOING TO SAY ABOUT IT, BUT YEAH, I THINK THERE'S PLANS TO PUT SOME TREES AND THINGS INTO THERE AS WELL.

SO I THINK WE, I THINK WE OWE IT TO THEM TO KIND OF SAY WHAT WHAT'S THE PLANS AND JUST BECAUSE I THINK WE HAVE SOME GREAT IDEAS, BUT MAYBE IT'S JUST ONE THING WE TALKED ABOUT EARLIER WAS THE REAL ESTATE TRANSFER TAX THAT EVERYBODY PAYS WHEN THEY SELL A HOME, JUST UNDERSTAND PEOPLE ARE BEING BOUGHT OUT IN THIS FEMA PURCHASE PROGRAM WILL NOT PAY THAT THEY WILL BE, THEY WON'T HAVE TO PAY REAL ESTATE TRANSFER TAX.

AND I THINK THAT THE OFFERS HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY GENEROUS.

THE, THE, UH, UH, I CAN'T FIX THE TOPOGRAPHY OF THE LAND.

AND IN THE LAST FEW MONTHS, ATLANTA ACROSS THE STREET ACTUALLY HAS MADE A DRAMATIC, A DRAMATIC CHANGE.

UM, THE, YOU GUYS HIRED A COMPANY TRUE GREEN.

THAT'S BEEN PUTTING DOWN CHEMICALS TO KILL OFF ALL THE NATIVE AND SOME NON-NATIVE, BUT EVEN MORE BENEFICIAL PLANTS FOR NOT JUST THE EARTH, OUR DOGS AND OUR WILDLIFE, BUT, UH, ALSO THE, THE WHERE'S THE SKIRT HURRY.

UM, WE'LL PROBABLY MULTIPLE AREAS, BUT, UH, LONGFORD PARK.

UM, AND TH THERE'S A TRAILHEAD RIGHT ON POOR PROVIDENCE ROAD THERE.

UM, AND THIS IS PRETTY MUCH ACROSS THE STREET FROM MY HOUSE.

THIS IS ACTUALLY HOUSES ARE GOING TO BE TORN DOWN AND SUPPOSEDLY PLANTING TREES, WHICH SOUNDS AMAZING.

UM, BUT YEAH, I JUST NOTICED THE, THE SPECIES OF PLANTS GROWING IN THE FIELDS THERE, UH, HAVE DIMINISHED IN DIVERSITY DRAMATICALLY, DRAMATICALLY AFTER THEY PUT DOWN A TWO D 40, WHICH IS SUPPOSED TO BE, UH, A SAFER HERBICIDE.

IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE CARCINOGENIC FREE.

UM, ALTHOUGH IT'S KNOWN TO HAVE KILLED THOUSANDS OF HORSES AND CATTLE.

AND SO MY CONCERN HAS ALWAYS BEEN ON NOW.

I CAN'T WALK MY DOGS IN THE GRASS, I GUESS WE'LL STICK TO THE PAVEMENT.

THAT'S HARD ON REALLY HOT DAYS.

AND ANOTHER THING I WANTED TO TALK ABOUT FUN IDEA, I THOUGHT OF LAST WEEK WAS AT THE DOG PARK, WHICH IS INCREDIBLE.

YOU'VE GOT TWO SIDES, WHICH IS NICE.

YOU GET TO LET THE GRASS REGROW.

AND I WAS WONDERING IF THERE COULD BE A WAY TO OPEN UP BOTH SIDES JUST ONE DAY, A WEEK OR TWICE A WEEK, IF NOT ONCE A MONTH, ANYTIME AT ALL, I THINK WOULD HELP A LOT, NOT JUST THE SOCIAL INTERACTIONS WITH DOGS.

SO CERTAIN DOGS, LIKE MY ONE SMALL FEMALE COULD PLAY WITH SOME OF HER FRIENDS WITHOUT BEING BOMBARDED WITH OTHER LARGE, MORE RAMBUNCTIOUS DOGS.

AND THEN, UM, OTHER DOGS MIGHT FIND IT EASIER TO MEET DOGS, THEIR OFFENSE BEFORE GETTING THROWN INTO A GIANT PEN WITH A BUNCH OF DOGS.

AND THE WAYS THAT MY TWO TOPICS ACTUALLY INTERCONNECT A LITTLE BIT IS CAN SEE THE SPECIES OF PLANTS THAT ARE NOW KILLED FROM THE TWO D 40, WHICH IS A GOOD, THE NAME.

THAT'S A CHEMICAL.

IT STARTS WITH AN A, AND IT GOES INTO THE ROOTS AND CAUSES MATTE MASS GROWTH, RAPID GROWTH,

REALLY FAST.

SO THEY GROW SO FAST THAT THEY DIE WITHIN A WEEK, USUALLY TWO TO FOUR DAYS.

AND THE, UM, THAT THEN THEY'RE ADDING IN NITROGEN AND THINGS THAT USUALLY THE CLOVER ADDS IN THROUGH THEIR TUBERS, WHICH ADD, UM, ORGANIC MASS INTO THE SOIL.

SO THE THAT'S MORE EFFECTIVE THAN THE HOLES THEY'RE PUNCHING IN THE GRASS LATER.

AND YOU'RE PAYING ALL THIS MONEY FOR THE HOLES BEING PUNCHED IN THE HERBICIDES AND PESTICIDES.

AND IN TURN, YOU MIGHT GET THIS LUSCIOUS GRASS THAT LOOKS NICE SHORT-TERM, BUT LONG-TERM, IT'S CAUSING MASS EXTINCTIONS OF INSECTS, BIRDS, WILDLIFE, AND IT'S GOING TO BE POOR DRAINAGE TOO.

SO THERE'S GOING TO BE MORE MUD.

THE GRASS WILL DIE OUT FASTER, OVER TIME.

SO BY ALLOWING THE COMMON PLANTING, THE PURSLANE AND THE CLOVERS AND ALL THESE WILD FLOWERS TO GROW, IT'S GOING TO HELP WITH DRAINAGE.

IT'S GOING TO HELP WITH HEALTH.

UM, LESS DOGS ARE GOING TO GET CANCER AND BECOME SICK FROM IT.

AND IT'S GOING TO HELP US TO, TO ENJOY THESE LANDS FULL OF BIRDS AND WILDLIFE AND INSECTS AND, AND SO FORTH.
